I was browsing around the vRealize Operations and I was wondering if in the API there were ways to do the tasks of Optimize Capacity through API such as
1) Reclaim
2) What - iF Analysis
or are those things just offered in the GUI

Trying to figure out how to graph of CPU and Memory trend for all VMs in vROPs Version 7.0.
Is that even possible to create single graph for single machine.

Unable to remove userGroup
After trialling using vIDM as an authentication source for vROps 6.6.1, the authentication source was removed, however the local userGroup which was created called "vIDM Administrators" can not be removed now because a ghost user still belongs to the group. The GUI gives the error "User with id 2d70909a-43d5-4ac4-a1bb-d63d1f9ca4b0 does not exist". I have even tried using the vROps API to remove the userGroup and it also shows the error

Any help in removing this userGroup called "vIDM Administrators" would be greatly appreciated.

vROPS - ISO Compliance report
Hi,
I installed the ISO Compliance Pack on my vROPs Version 7.5, so far so good. The report is “reporting” as far as the compliance view is concerned. But, once I genereate a report the report is empty even though the compliance view shows a couple of Propblems. The vSphere hardening report shows data, so there is data and the reports themself work.
May be someone could point me in the right direction.

Enable defaultMonitored of the statkeys

vRops 7.0 Discovery issues
Just installed vRops 7.0. Really new to this environment. Seems that its trying to log onto our Cisco Network switches and filling the switches logs. Not sure where to find the discovery..

Create workflow or action from event
Hello,
i have a question about working with events. We reboot some servers daily. But it could be the case, that the reboot fails. If that happens, i see this in vRops.
Is it possible to do something like:
If the ressource is down for x Minutes or an hour, do a hard reboot of the VM? Do i have to use vRO for that? The metric you seen here is collected from the end point agent.

Network devices adaptor configuration
Hi all,
we have vrealize operation manager but monitoring is limited to nsx enviroment only. I want to extend to cover physical switches (Spine and TOR switches) can any one assist on what are the configuration needed to be done on switch to have them discovered on operation manager, Always fails and tries to connect to switch IP address which don't exist

vROPs Reports showing Deleted objects in Reporting
I recently changed the global settings for deleting objects from 168 hours to -1 so that they immediately get deleted. This setting worked only for few hours but after that the deleting ojects are again being retained in vROps . When i am fetching reports for VMs , deleted VMs are still visible in the report.
Can anyone help how to make sure that deleted objects are removed from vROps on time

vROPS find growing VM's (vRAM)
Hi,
I'm looking for a list/chart/graph that can show me the most growing VM's in regard to vRAM. I can see that our physically used cluster vRAM is growing the last couple of weeks but I can't see which VM's are affected.

Is there a better way to check ICMP from vRops for those devices such as switches where we cant use epops agent or the workaround using remote server with epops agent to do this check.

Configuring Skyline Management Pack - vRops 7.5
Hi,
When I try to configure the vRops 7.5 management pack for Skyline, I received the message error "Unable to establish a valid connection to the target system. skyline.vmware.com: Name or service not known".
CSP token was generated, ok.
Internet connection is ok.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Datastore utilization report with parent vCenter name
Hello All,
We have vRops with multiple vCenter adapters. the current vRops view doesn't support to create a datastore utilization report with parent host and vCenter. I am currently pulling reports from the vCenter, which is not much of help .
Could someone help me to get a script to fetch details of datastore utilization with parent vCenter.

Tracking VM creation and deletion in vROPs without vRLI

I want to create alerts in my vROPs 7.0 which would track VM creation and deletion. I don't want to use vRLI in this specific case. Is there any way that i can create an event in vROPs for the same and setup an alert?

Adapter instance object has error status
Hi All
vROPS 6.6.1 and NSX vSphere Adapter 3.5. One of the NSX managers keep showing few times per day standard alert "Adapter instance object has error status", other NSX is ok. NSX manager and vROPS are on same network so network communication should not be the root of the problem. Test connection of that adapter is successful and is reviving data.
Any idea how I can troubleshoot that issue, what logs to check on vROPS collector and NSX manager?

vRealize Application Monitoring Menu Issue
Hey everyone,
So I've been learning vRealize Operations Manager 7.5 in my private lab when I encountered a really weird problem.
I've downloaded and installed vRealize Application Remote Collector in order to integrate it with my vROp node, but when I configure vSphere adapter, after a few minutes the Monitoring Applications menu in Home disappears and the Application Remote Collector menu in Administration > Configuration > Application Remote Collector also disappears. I am not sure that configuring vSphere adapter is directly related to this issues, but it usually happens after I configure the adapter.
Is there a known bug or something that could tell me why is this happening and is there a fix for this problem?

VM List needed after a HA event Occoured in vROps
Hello Team,
I had vSphere HA occoured where VMs restarted on other hosts and I received an alert from vROps as Host Lost Connetion. Team requested list of VMs hosted in respective ESXi box,. Can anybody let me know how to get VMs list from vROps after HA event has occoured. Let me know required super metrics needs to use to create views/report.
