So on our windows machines we have Drive D dedicated to the pagefile. Is there a way that you can get vrops not to monitor the D: but every other drive as per the criteria thresholds?

vrealize operations patch upgrade (4596418) to resolve - CVE-2016-5195
Hi,
I upgraded my vrealize to using the following .pak file - vRealize_Operations_Manager-VA-OS-6.3.0.4596418.pak
I then confirmed in the KB article that the patch is applied with the output validation but when I login and its reporting as the old version of 4276418 instead of 4596418?
VMware vRealize Operations 6.3 patch to address CVE-2016-5195 (2147630) | VMware KB
Is anyone else having this issue or am I missing something?

Can't install VCM agent into Linux machine in Linux machine
Hi guys,
I just installed VMware configuration Manager 5.8.2.
I can install VCM agent into Windows machine. But I can't install VCM agent into Linux machine.
I tried to manually copy the install package into Linux machine, then install it, it is OK, But I can't install it by Delegate Machine.
I checked the job it stopped "check request is complete‘.
Any suggestion? Thanks.
Can vCops collect statistics from multiple VMs, ESXi hosts or Datastores?
Hello community!
Does anyone know how to harvest data from a lot of items such as VMs, hosts, datasores using vCops at once?
We have more than a thousand of VMs across roughly 20 clusters and need to collect some statistics like CPU usage(%), IOPS etc... But it's too many and time consuming! That's why we're looking for the way to simultaneously collect it.
Any ideas will be welcome.
Here's the detail of vCops we use:
VMware vCenter Operations Manager
version 5.8.5
build 2532416
License mode: Standard

vROPS Analytics process running 100 Percent & causing multiple stability issues after upgrade to 6.3
Hi All,
Best though I had post this up to see if anyone has got any bright ideas before I have to speak to GSS about this.
We have a 2 Node cluster using HA which was healthy and running tip top with 1 X remote collector for our DR Data Center which also runs multiple End Point operations for now just using the vCenter health adaptor
For Security & vRLI integration reasons we decided to upgrade to 6.3...We first went through the main upgrade procedure, upgrading all of the EPOPS agents to 6.3 before starting the main upgrade to vROPS. The main upgrade consisted of the OS upgrade and the Appliance upgrade to Build Number: 4276417 Once that was successfully installed, we then proceeded to run the security upgrade to bring us up to Build Number: 4443152
This was successful and without error or so we thought. when everything came back up after the Security upgrade everything seemed to be stable, however after a short while I noticed the vCOPS-analytics process CPU time start to rise over a period of around 30 mins on the Master Replica appliance maxing the appliance out to 100 percent... TOP was show around 750+ percent. after this collections started to degrade strangely on the remote collector.
We have brought the whole cluster down again cleanly and restarted the Master, Master Replica and Remote collector... all healthy for around 20-30 mins and then the same happens again.
Can anyone provide me with help or has anyone experienced the same at all?
Help!
Richard.
OS Update VMSA-2016-0016 and Inconsistent Patch Names
We are still on vR Ops 6.2.0a and the VMSA-2016-0016 advisory states to use the patch available from https://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=2147667. The text of that KB states that the patch should be named
vRealize_Operations_Manager-VA-OS-PATCH-6.2.0.4596418.4596418.pak
The downloads for our version list the patch as
vRealize_Operations_Manager-VA-OS-6.3.0.4596418.pak
Anyone know which is correct?
Thanks!
How can I configure the duration of statistics on vCops?
Hello community!
We need to keep all statistics data that vCops shows for more than six months. Can I teak the configuration? if yes, please advise how to do that!
Versions of ESXi hosts: v5.0 and v5.5
Here's version of our vCops.

Hello All, I am pretty new to VROps and i want to know the step by step procedure to create use case for Capacity and Performance Management.
Hello All, I am pretty new to VROps and i want to know the step by step procedure to create use case for Capacity and Performance Management.
I have got VROPS Version 6.3.0.4276418 in my environment. There is no other use case available in my VROps.
Data Retriever is not initialized yet. Please wait..
I have recently taken over a vCenter instance, where a lot of items are either half-implemented or implemented but not documented. One of items is a vRealize Operations appliance. When I first came upon it in vCenter, it was showing a corrupted disk. I was able to rebuild this, and get the machine to boot, but the Web UI comes up to the login screen and then sits at the message Data Retriever is not initialized yet. Please wait.. and never moves. Doing some research, I came across a couple of KB's:
Unable to connect to vRealize Operations appliance (2000208) | VMware KB
Unfortunately, neither of these resolve the issue. Just curious if anyone has ever run into this issue, or has any suggestions. As I mentioned, documentation is scarce, so I would very much like to avoid having to redeploy completely (even though they have not been collecting any data up to this point anyway).
Average transactions per second
With the new version of vrealize operations manager, what is the most efficient way to get a total of transactions per second (Iops) for The storage traffic of The sum of all virtual machines in my environment?
Change the subject line of vROPs 6.3 email
Hi All,
The environment that I'm currently working in has a classification system for emails. It basically means that all emails must have [SEC=UNCLASSIFIED] in the subject line of the email or it is dropped.
Is there a way to edit the email subject lines in vRealize Operation 6.3 alerts and notifications to append [SEC=UNCLASSIFIED]?
I have seen an earlier post (vROPS 6 customizing email alerting) which doesn't answer the question, and I have read the KB (Using custom email templates in VMware vRealize Operations Manager 6.x (2125759) | VMware KB) is a clunky method about building custom templates but with much less granularity and doesn't fit with what I want to do.
Thanks,
heatmap to show average latency for the past time period eg month/week/day
Hi All, I am trying to get a heatmap view of average latency for datastores for a the past period of time, importantly I need the average over that period of time (to make things look better :) ). From what I can see in the widget there isn't anything there to select time period. An example is in the top 10 widget that lets you select past period and averages the results for that period (as far as I know its an average). thanks...
vRealize Operations 6.1 dashboard is grayed out with question marks
Has anyone experienced the before? I have everything setup properly and collecting as well. I created a separate group of VMs to include their separate policy and they generate grayed out badges with question marks. Any suggestions?

I'm running ESXi / vCenter 5.5. Can I install the latest vROps version and will it be fully compatible? Will the licensing on my existing 5.5 environment cover the latest vROps version?

When we stop the VROPS broker services for vcenter servers and view adapter, the message stops. We have two VROPs servers and two vcenter servers and two view connection servers.
Need to find what triggers these reconfigure messages and why,
Thanks.
Guest File Not Showing Free Space
I'm attempting to create a view that will show the free space in GB on each virtual machine, shouldn't be a problem...
I can see the size in GB, Usage in % and Usage in GB, the other option that I have is for showing Free GB on the guest file system, but this just returns a "-", and it is the same for all drives - C:\ D:\ G:\ etc
I've checked that the machines are running, any thoughts?
